Calf strain. Shouldn't be out too long.
Maybe.

I need to say something about this guy.
Over my time watching the club I have seen some very good left backs - with probably Bobby Mac being the best to date.
However forgetting he is 30+ and watching him play, I have to say he is the best and a real class act.
It is therefore understandable our poor run was when he was not involved.
His First touch Passing ability Work rate down the wing He can head a ball even being small Knows how to tackle properly
TBH nearly worth paying an entrance fee just to watch.
Please keep fit = player of the season to date.

He is our most consistent player. Yet another good game on Saturday.

Loved his little jump celebration after assisting the fourth.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned, but congratulations to him on making the L1 team of the week. More than deserved for THAT assist alone

That's some statistic for a left back. Some player. Very good signing.

Might he be better played as a wide midfielder who tracks back to help a full back (whoever that might be!) rather than as a last line of defense back there? That might maximise his attacking effectiveness (which is considerable) and minimize his defensive shortcomings (which are also quite evident IMO).

Makes you wonder what sort of player he was ten years ago! Seeing how good he is at 33

Personally would keep him at full back, very dangerous and effective attacking from deeper position

Would also allow us to play two up top. Only player who I couldn't see suiting that system would be James Henry playing RWB. But he hasn't exactly earned the right you build a formation around him IMO.

I think Henry would do alright as a right wing back, he's full of energy and does a lot of tracking back, only problem would be getting back when we get caught on the break, we've gone 3 at the back a couple of times this season though and it hasn't really worked, in theory though I like the idea
