Thought i would make the thread for tomorrow nights game. We play a very good Bradford side who have won 4 from the first six games scoring 12 and conceding 7 . Personally expecting 2 or 3 changes from the side that convincingly beat Gillingham on Saturday.
Eastwood Carroll Nelson Mousinho Ricardinho Ledson Mowatt Hall Payne Henry
Thomas
Don't think the defense needs changing as it was solid on Saturday, don't rush Williamson back get him training and get him back for the Blackpool game. Mowatt in for Rothwell may seem a little harsh on Rothwell who played a blinder on Saturday next to Ledson, however i can see him sitting out of one of Blackpool or Bradford just so he doesn't run him self into the ground. If it isn't Rothwell that's on the bench tomorrow then i expect it'll be Ledson out for Ruffles for same reason. Payne has to play because in those first 30 or so minutes he runs the show until he gets found out he'll then go quite and then comes alive again in the second half. Thomas in for Obika as it seems Obika has a Hamstring strain.
INJURIES OBIKA HAMSTRING STRAIN RIBIERO KNEE IRRITATION
This is without a doubt our toughest game yet,I'm predicting 1-0 Oxford Thomas tap in. May seem optimistic and this could go either way. I think we may have enough quality to win tomorrow, it'll be a nervy game but if we start quickly and defend with the same passion and commitment we did on Saturday i believe we may win. These are the games we need to get points out of if we are going to be up there this season.

Tough game but one we need to be putting in a good performance for if we want to finish in the top 6. I expect Williamson to come back in so not sure what that means for Mousinho or the formation but good problem to have. Would be harsh on Carroll to drop out having played well on Saturday but Pep may favor playing the more experienced Mousinho at RB.

With both sides scoring freely this has 0-0 written all over it!

Wonder if Pep will play GVK up top with Obika out.
0-0 my well thought out prediction.

0-0 my well thought out prediction. Very much doubt it, don't think that would be a role he could play. Maybe, new signing Agon Mehmeti will come into the reckoning, but whoever comes in to replace **Obika -they will have to perform to keep their place, so strong is our squad. **Where does it say he's injured??

Wonder if Pep will play GVK up top with Obika out. 0-0 my well thought out prediction. Hope not, didn't work overly well vs Shrewsbury. Hope Thomas starts if Obika is unavailable. on a side note...Obika is receiving some of the best quality chances in the football league...

This is going to be a tough Match and who ever is in defence will have to work hard because the are a good side won 4 and scored 12 goals. Whoever starts up front whether it be Thomas or GVK or both I just hope they are on song and get a couple to unsettle A confident side.

Think Williamson may come back in, as he is more familiar with Nelson + the team (no disrespect to Mous - thought he had a great debut). As has been said, doubt GVK will play sole striker, but perhaps will start over Henry? He is here on a kind of extended trial, big money on the table for him so a run of starting to see what he's about wouldn't do any harm. With the form Bradford are in, I'd reluctantly take a draw, predicting 1-1, with Payne to score again

bit worried about this game hopefully we can follow up Saturday's win but I'm not confident we will have to fight and i can see it going either way a goal a piece hopefully for us so I'm going to go a 1-0 win for us goal from Hall in the 80th minute

Should be a few goals in this one, and I think there will be, quite fancy a 'five goal thriller' with us just edging it 3-2. Although I'd be happy still with a very hard fought 1-0 and 3 points!! They don't tend to have a great away following, and expect that trend to continue on a cold dark Oxfordshire night, so a crowd just exceeding 7,000 maybe, hopefully though a lot more can get there and support the lads.

Shame Obika is out, however gives Thomas/GvK a chance to impress and nail down a starting position. 1-1 Payne to score.

Toughest test of the season. A win would take the pressure off of another difficult game at Blackpool on Saturday. Will Williamson come in for Mousinho or will he replace Nelson? Carroll is the only fit right back so he'll start (no concerns with that either). I'd play van Kessel rather than Thomas:

Has Payne played up top before? If so could play Rothwell in the hole with mous or mowatt partnering ledson in the middle.

Van Kessel looked terrible up top on his own, much better playing off of someone coming in from the wing. Obika might not be the best finisher but until the Albanian lad is fit he is the best option to play as a lone centre forward by a fair distance, I would give Thomas the nod on the basis that at least he is an actual centre forward, even if he probably isn't a lone target man.

My first game since the opener at Oldham tomorrow so really looking forward to seeing some of the players we've signed since then for the first time (Ricardinho and GvK in particular) in action.
As for result, think it's more important that we don't lose than win (if that makes sense). Would love it if we could go on an unbeaten run at home and turn the Kassam into a fortress this season, as we've struggled a bit at home in recent years.
1-1 - Thomas

Apparently we fear them, according to some on their forum. I think that's wishful thinking. Respect perhaps; acknowledge their ability perhaps. They've started well and had a good season last term - we should be aware that we will need to play well to not get beaten. But that's fine, no fear there. We played them twice at home last season and won both fixtures, so why would we be scared? A weird viewpoint, to be honest.
Looks like it's going to rain all game so who knows. It'll probably come down to who wears the right studs and stays on their feet. Which isn't good news as Thomas is likely starting for us and he goes arse over tit when the sprinklers have been on.

This game depends on which team Bradford send to the Curse-him stadium; let's hope its their rugby league team, then I can forecast: Oxford United 5 (Vagino Van Kettle 4 & an own goal) Bradford Shitty 0 Att: 6422 with 399 shitty fans (let's hope the fan hits the shit) I can see a 'killer' of a performance from the Yellows. They are due for a slip-up, so I think we are definitely going to deliver. Right, that's the b*llshit out of the way - I haven't got a bloody clue about this one. I can, however, see a dog running onto the pitch. But then, I always see a bloody dog on the pitch! I long for the day a canine c*nt does it's thing in the middle of the K*ssam Shittium. Hall will be sent off during the game. The scoreboard will give the score in Japanese. The directors' box will be invaded by Russia. One of the floodlights will explode. An owl will fly over the stadium. One of the Bradford fans will go: "Ee ba gum!" At some point, Eastwood will say: "Make my day!". Nelson will say: "Kiss me Hardy!" and Mousinho will go on about him being related to Jose Mourinho. No-one will believe him. Wickedeenio will have his best game for us at the back. All of us will leave the stadium will a massive grin on our faces. That just about does it for me.

Without Obika we may struggle without the option of using him as a target man, nobody in the squad in my opinion can play that role, Bradford have goals in them and will be a tough one this

Great performance Saturday against a very poor Gillingham side. Big test Bradford, win here and Oxford mean business. Predict a very close 1-0 win with a goal by Payne. Attendance: 6,602 with 457 from Bradford.

Yup. Strange as it may seem, tomorrow is a huge game. Far enough into the season that we can start to understand who the big dogs are and may be. Not too far into the season that nothing can change. Barely anyway support from a top-flying team. And at Fortress Concrete Triangle. I can't wait. Oxford support exactly 6,000 bizarrely, Bradford 0 (breakdown on the M1).

Think we'll lose but we are more than capable of thrashing any team in this league when the pieces come together.
1-3 to Bradford, 6,743 in attendance.
