Doubt he'd take the sort of pay cut needed to come back. Got it made where he is.

Could be that he is back sooner than we thought - Pep has surrounded himself with his own men and recent form has been awful/relegation. We can surely forget playoffs having already lost 6/17. Would take MAPP back in a flash - Dont think Pep will last 3 more games Still only 3 points off the playoffs despite 6 losses so not all over just yet.

I think the point is that everyone is having similar “form” issues. So it’s not all over just yet. Cutting the stupid mistakes would obviously help

Cutting the stupid mistakes would obviously help Mate, we've won 3 in 13 and most have been against winnable opposition. That's not just bad form, that's bad tactics, team play and morale!

Not saying it isn’t. Just that despite all that we are 3 points off the playoffs. And basic school boy mistakes have cost us as many points as the lack of a decent striker, and pacey wingers have. We know the team can play some bloody good stuff, today I think a few tweaks and we would have won. Everyone’s head seemed a little down today, like they know something that we’re about to find out that’s effecting the club. He talks a lot about learning, and early on I thought he was trying different things and a bit more flexible in tactics than mapp’s plan a . Even tried 3 at the back. Today no chance in tactic, just swap players in the same formation. As good as lego and rothwell are, they can’t play together in a 2. They are like gerrard and lampard. Bring in ruffels. I love Robbie hall, but we looked stronger without him, Henry right, rothwell left. Tiendalli does not move forward, swap for Carroll despite his mistakes last week. What ever the question is in defence Arron martin is not the answer. We would have taken at least a point today with that

Come back Apples. Save us. Ah yes, the messiah syndrome. Except of course that our latter day JC got out while the going was good.

I thought he did well when he came on. Grew with confidence in the second half, dealt with the aerial stuff and tbh, not much beat him.

Sorry meant too say, agree with most of the second half of your post. These school boy mistakes are happening too often. The team can play some good stuff when given time and space, but what happens when they don't get either? They play in squares without going forward and then get caught out.

Puel coming under pressure already and he offered Collins the AM job last week so clearly doesn't see MaPP as his right hand man. Expect MaPP to be paid off and available by January - if offered he would be crazy not to come back. Unfinished legacy, cult hero, 500k compensation in pocket and way better than waiting for that great offer from elsewhere. New owner by then? Shakey number 2? Funny old game

Pardew - really??? Saw a great quote in the paper yesterday, that if Albion hadn't been the club Pulis had just been sacked from, he would probably be top of the betting to get the Albion job - lucky you guys eh?

Pundits prove it the old boy network if it had been Klopp and they'd lost 3 in a row they would be calling for both his head and bollocks. Pardew wouldn't be my first choice but he plays interesting football. Plus I doubt we'll go 8 games without a shot on target like old Tone

As football fans we are more accepting of a team "going for it" when we are struggling then a manager who sets up not too lose.
