Good. I hope he goes on to be a massive success. Quite right too, no matter the rights or wrongs of his departure he should be looked on favorably in years to come. I would be interested in those posters who defend him and create an anti Oxford bias in the way they do it, if Cullum goes on to be successful will they begrudge any further financial bonus to Oxford over Callums future progress?

I wish the guy all the success in the world because he came through our youth system and any player that happens to looks great to us as a club. However forgive me for not rushing to stand and give him an ovation when he returns. Not going to boo him but the way he left means I wouldn't be bothered about his return. Im bothered when constable, roofe etc come back but they left after giving it 100% to the last minute they were our player.

In following pre-season clearly he didn't but when it mattered he did.

Republic of Ireland winger Callum O'Dowda has said after the game that he was "disappointed not to get the three points".
I think someone will have to explain to him how play-offs work.

To be fair I tend to agree with ox4eva. He was born and raised in kidlington and yet he says it’s an honour to play for his country ROI. Last time I checked the John Radcliffe was in Oxfordshire, England and so is Kidlington. It just shows the mockery of international football.

Yeah i mean why go to play for Bristol when you're born in Oxfordshire. if some worried less about where they were born there might just be less problems throughout the world.

Would you turn down the opportunity to play international football if you were in his shoes then? Play for a team but don't claim it's 'your' country when you were not born there. It's complete pathetic bollox and i despair with the amount of plastic paddys about! And for those who get upset with my comments, try walking about towns and cities in the ROI with an England shirt on!

Making a thing of remembrance weekend, bigot? "Making a thing about the Remembrance weekend bigot" Hear we go again, left wing b*llshit from the usual suspect. I suppose you and your mate Corbyn would abolish Remembrance Sunday as it isn't on the proletariat agenda. I suppose you would also love to have a meeting with the IRA as the are "Freedom fighters" The IRA celebrate Remembrance Day,every year for the last 30 years in Republican bars all over Ireland, they raise a glass to 1987 ? The Remembrance Day massacre On 8th November 1987 an IRA terrorist bomb exploded near Enniskillens war memorial (cenotaph) during a Remembrance Sunday ceremony, 12 people ( 11 civilians and a police officer), many of them old age pensioners, were murdered and 63 were injured. Lest We Forget. But you have. Do you know Flo ? Top lad at Oxford for many years. Got a scar on his face where an IRA bullet went through his face,i'll have to introduce you some day,he will love to hear your views of good old Ireland. Ireland is a foreign country, why the BBC and Sky have this obsession with them is beyond me,last time i looked France was a lot nearer to England than Ireland, why don't we have live games from Paris ? f*ck Ireland, come on Denmark.

He's not exactly going to say he's gutted he wasn't good enough to play for England is he? And maybe he is actually honoured to play for ROI, his grandfather was Irish and that might mean a lot to COD. Either way, it strikes me that people are trying hard to find a reason to be outraged.

Wouldn't it be nice if people could just agree that disgraceful, murderous outrages by terrorists from both Republican and Unionist sides are / were both equally bad?

Yesterday saw me draw my mind back to my Great Grandfather, who at 15, lied about his age in Mile End to sign up and fight the First World War. After surviving the First World War he then fought in the Royal Irish Constabulary Special Reserves (Black & Tans) and was based in Cork.
In December 1920 he helped a young woman who was caught up in the fires of 'The Burning of Cork' where RICS and Aux personnel took it upon themselves to rob, abuse and burn parts of the town after an IRA ambush. Anyway he went on to marry this woman, have seven daughters with her, fight in the Second World War before returning to England and settling in Oxfordshire as a family.
Though I was too young to remember his stories of the war I've read numerous press clippings and historical documents where he was as scathing as the British Army as he was the Irish Republicans.
It's very easy to gloss over things for ones own argument.
