What do people remember most about previous visits to Scum, good or bad?
In no particular order
The smoke bomb game and ground wrecking
The Beano 2 Scum 1 game
Being dragged out by the OB put in a cell under the town end and released into the car park as the final whistle went, I was a bit outnumbered
The announcer at the ZDS game who kept reminding us that the last train back to Oxford was at 10 o'clock as the match went into extra time, no one left.... and at the end told us Oxford fans will be kept behind for 15 minutes... it took about 15 seconds for the gates to be broken down.
Just wondered what memories of the shithole others have

Gates on the Stratton Bank bursting open & the locals scattering....... the milk float getting ambushed on the roundabout....... that glorious day with Beano & that twunk Di Canio being sent off........ the walk back to the station with groups peeling off down the side streets and hunting ......
The infamous terracing tear up.... coppers getting bitten by their own dogs...... and, irrespective of the result, Oxford taking the p*ss.
The best thing is its a derby that isn`t that regular and thats what makes it "ours".

Just wondered what memories of the shithole others have What i remember about the ZDS game,we had missed the last train to Didcot, but we could get home by getting a train to Reading then back to Didcot. The OB obviously didnt want 3/400 Oxford fans arriving in Reading around closing time,so when the train stopped at Swindon the Inspector tapped on the window of the driver,"yes" enquired the driver "this train is stopping at Didcot" said the OB "sorry this train doesn't stop at Didcot" said the driver." THIS TRAIN IS STOPPING AT DIDCOT" said the OB,it stopped at Didcot.

Many years ago we got on a "soccer special" train at Oxford station and we got off a mobile bomb site by the time we got to scum land. It was totally wrecked, seats ripped up windows put in, fire extinguishers let off the lot. Another time our blackbird leys coach pulled up outside the town end and we piled straight into the bookies and trashed that before having fun in the town end itself. Great days never to be repeated

Been arrested 3 times at the skip, once i have no problem with,we tried to get into the County ground hotel, punches were thrown, missiles flew, they had pint glasses we had anything we could lay our hands on,a bit embarrassing really when you see yourself on a police video in court, throwing a plastic ketchup bottle off a burger van into the CGH ! Once i got nicked for kicking f@@k into a police dog after it bit me(still have the scars) got released and taken to the Lady Margaret hospital after they panicked as i was bleeding all over the police station, what a surprise. After getting bandaged up and having a Tetanus in the arse i rang the missus for a lift home (3am) her reply "Police station or hospital?" The other one was a complete injustice, 5 minutes before the end of the game i wanted a p*ss,the bogs were down the steps by the Shrivenham rd exit, the OB had a line across the top of the steps and wouldnt let me go. I stood by them planning to dive in there when the inevitable surge through the police lines happened, when the surge started an 8 foot copper dived on me from my right, forced me over a crush barrier and cuffed me to it. 3,000 Oxford fans surging down a walkway and im cuffed to a barrier, this was just after Hillsborough, really good H&S practice. I finished up the only person in the skip, cuffed to a barrier,i was still there when they turned the floodlights off,the OB had to come and find me with a torch !! Pleaded not guilty, not a chance, another years ban. I also got 3 fractured ribs from a police baton when it wasn't my fault, one year Oxford got back to Didcot, had a few pints in the POW,then got a train back to Swindon(not me by the way) The following year we got off the train at Didcot and the OB tried to herd everyone onto the Oxford bound platform, obviously none of the Abingdon,Didcot,Wantage lads wanted to go to Oxford, this resulted in a standoff in the tunnel under the tracks, one old bloke pointed out to a black copper his house was across the road, saying "i just want to go home" A surge followed and this black copper fell over,he bounced back up swinging his baton at everyone,he caught this old bloke on the head knocking him senseless,i saw him going down so caught him, only to get battered by several OB resulting in 3 cracked ribs. P.S.I only mention this copper was black because i had never seen him before and never saw him again,so i assume he was part of some TVP "heavy mob" P.P.S, Remember the SPG ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO8EpfyCG2Y

Standing at the front and leaning over to get a view of what was happening at the corner and getting punched in the face by a Wiltshire copper. Blind sided, so I didn't see it coming. Thought he was very brave.

Can it be moved to matches or somewhere?
