Aged 20, from Wantage Oxford United fan through and through and regularly travelling home and away supporting the club he loved. Today I have lost my nephew tragically killed in a road accident this morning near Wantage. One of the nicest and kindest people you could ever wish to meet. 20 years is no age to be taken away from us with his whole life ahead of him. A very sad day. Rest in peace Lewis....

Radox mentioned that it is proposed that we supporters repeat the salute to this very young man at the Wimbledon game. All in favour here. So sad to lose anyone that young, family or not. Will be standing in the SSU for a minutes applause or chant. Family to decide.

Tragic loss of a young life.
Now we have the new scoreboard, is it possible for the club to do some kind of tribute when we lose members of the OUFC family. A photograph of the deceased with their DOB & date of their passing would be tasteful in my opinion.

It was noticed by everyone around that the Wimbledon fans to a man stood and applauded when they realised what was happening. They were pretty good all day to be fair. Well done them.

This Saturday (30th September) marks the 1st anniversary of Lewis "Mounge" Mangan's loss of life, the year has passed so quickly however there is not a day that goes by where his friends and family are not thinking of him... His OUFC supporting friends and family will out in numbers at Peterborough on Saturday to mark this occasion and then back to Grove near Wantage for an evening's get together to celebrate his life.. RIP Lewis....
