Hello all, exiled / lapsed / aging / lost-and-found OUFC fan here... After reading the anniversary match reports the other day on the OM website I was looking for footage of the League (Milk) Cup run 1985-86 and found these two clips lurking in the nether regions of youtube: Semi-final (1st & 2nd legs) v Villa Haven't seen them in this section so decided to upload them. (Bit of heart-warming nostalgia from '86 before this season's Wembley day out in April ) 1st leg at Villa Park: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wl5AmcVCEu0 (Aldridge goal is a beaut'...) 2nd leg at the Manor: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTQ-WtNyIeQ(wonderful night...) Cheers and all the best, folks

Thanks so much for posting! I got to see the final, making my way over from the US and on my way to the USSR (so a couple of nights spent in London was just perfect!), but hadn't seen any of the previous games. I'll watch these two with great pleasure.
Flying over for the weekend to see the JPT final...as I'm obviously the Wembley lucky charm (having seen both our appearances there) I have to be there, right?

I was at both of those semi finals, great nights.I believe that Frank Bruno fought Joe Bugner on the evening of the first leg, sure I can remember listening to it on the coach back to Oxford...

I was in the board room at Villa for the away leg and smuggled out a crystal tumbler glass with Aston Villa engraved on it as a momento. Still got it always brings a smile when I fill it for a night cap!

That was a decent piece.
Oxford tried to buy Garry Thompson for £350,000 in 1988 under Brian Horton!
