This is the reply i received last night. Tom. Thank you for the details and I have had a discussion with Rosie also about Jack. Our thoughts go out to his family at this time. In regards to the minutes applause, we have quite a few requests for this type of thing when Season Ticket Holders pass away, and it would be difficult to decide who is deserving or not, so therefore we have a policy to limit them typically to club officials that pass, however we have invited Jack’s parents up to the game on Tuesday night and I will be presenting them with a shirt that we have had signed and framed, with Jacks picture on it too in his memory. Rosie will be saying some words about Jack before the game in his memory, and I feel that the fans will have the opportunity at this point to show there own respect. I believe there will be quite a few of Jack’s family at the game and I hope we can have a great night in honour of this brave young man. Regards, Kelvin

We can show our respect after Rosie has said his bit.

What a gesture from the club tonight, I thought what happened was far better than a minutes silence. Very emotional and brought a tear to my eye. Rosie explained the whole situation perfectly and thought it was very respectful they let the parents lay the flowers behind the goal. When they clapped us I felt proud to be an Oxford fan. It was sad knowing that the happy guy who sat directly in front of me won't be there anymore.

A great tribute, fantastic response from our fans, and it was a nice touch to have flowers spelling Jack behind the goal. I thought the club, fans and his family did Jack proud tonight. 5-1, Jack will be smiling.

Didn't know jack (although would probably recognise him) but I felt pretty emotional none the less. I thought the whole thing was done very well and was a touching tribute.

Yes, done very well indeed. As was his brother's announcement at the Priory. You could tell Rosie was choking up when he was doing his bit. Jack will not be forgotten that's for sure.
