Very sad news in today's programme regarding Scott Kennedy from Abingdon
Scott was a true Oxford fan, there is a great photo somewhere of him giving Bob Maxwell some stick over the Reading merger!
I went with him to Italia 90 and many Oxford home and away games in the 80s - he was a regular on the London Road coaches for many years.
RIP Scott..

He lost a long battle with cancer. I only got to know him in recent years and he was a genuinely nice guy who loved his club. RIP Scott

Very sad loss of a great friend, godfather to my son and loyal yellow.
Scott taught me what it meant to be an Oxford fan when I first started going in the early 80's, and had some great times back then, along with Scott's brother Ross, Randomox and others.
Scott lost a brave battle against cancer, and his funeral took place Thursday at Hertford College where many moving tributes were made and was nice to see other Oxford fans present, and plenty of yellow and blue on display!
RIP Scott, another great character lost from our ranks..

scott was a legend , along with many of us early 1980,s followers , him & bucket made up a really loyal band of fans (RIP those that have fallen up till now) , that have endured TOO many years of hope/failure since those long lost glory days , lets just hope this current or subsequent teams can get us back to those golden seasons

Didn't he work at the train station some years ago? Seemed like a nice guy. Pretty sure he worked at Miele in Abingdon for a long time. Theirs also a photo of him somewhere, that appeared in one of the Oxford books, protesting about Maxwell in front of the directors box at the Manor. Good lad, will be sadly missed. R.I.P. Scott.

Well done Keith. I know who you mean now.
Shall we use some of the excess money in the forum fund to make a donation to the charities?

Great lad and a very loyal fan over the years, with a very distinctive look.
I feel a little guilty that I never knew he had cancer, and am shocked that he has died.
RIP Scott.

RIP Scott it was a pleasure to know you. A true legend of a supporter. Jackie if you are reading this my condolences to you. Two stories spring to mind when I think of Scott. The first was when he was trying to get a lift to an away game, Bristol Rovers or Newport in about the spring of 84, he was desperate for a lift and offered to go in the boot of the car!!! The other was Pompey away in about 81 or 82, night game and there were only 2 coaches that went. When the coaches pulled up in Pompey nobody moved, except Scott who was fortified with loads of booze and marched off the coach saying " come on you lot" then started singing "Oxford boys we are here" at the top of his voice as he left the coach. RIP Scott, I will wear my cromby in your honour this season.
