Or we sign a permanent replacement in January. With Bevans injured and, I assume, out of favour anyway, we will need some cover before Hunt leaves the building.

Best of luck to him whatever happens. Despite some people's reservations about his qualities as a footballer, Hunt is a decent bloke and a good pro.

Good back up, but I'd imagine that he is on a decent wage as he came from the league above.
Hunt leaving would free up a wage for MAPP to be do a bit more wheeler deaing in January.

MAPP has already stated that he will be doing a lot of business in January. Exciting times!

No surprise considering he can't get a place on the bench. I personally don't rate him, although in his couple of appearances this season he's looked better than he did the whole of last season. Appleton likes attacking full backs, Hunt can't play that way. I also think Newey will be let go in Jan too.

I wish Hunt all the best. A good pro and while his style might not to have been everyones cup of tea he did a great job as stand-in centre half on a number of occasions. Good luck to him

Probably the worst right back in recent seasons here. Utterly useless, did nothing positive. My worry is who the f*ck would take him ?
His best game was when he stood in at centre back against non league Gateshead. That tells you all you need to know.

Those of us who said Hunt and Newey were worse than Batt and Davis were proven right in the end then.

Those of us who said Hunt and Newey were worse than Batt and Davis were proven right in the end then. They are completely different types of players. It has never worked out for Hunt here but I don't think he is a bad player and he is a top professional.

Those of us who said Hunt and Newey were worse than Batt and Davis were proven right in the end then. Is there such a thing as a player worse than Batt? Probably not

Personally gutted to see Hunty leave. He brought experience and a real wise head to the squad. IMO he was also far more technical than 'Hooooof it Newey'. Best of luck to both of them.

Hunt was so much better than Batt. Not even close. Have only just seen this comment. Laughable. Hunt did nothing. Although Batt is not the best fullback we have ever head he's a much better player than hunt. No comparison.

Did you actually watch Batt play?

Good luck to Hunt and Newey. Would like to know the situation regarding Riley is it season long or until Jan his loan.

Today's Mail says the loan (originally until Jan) might be extended: Riley would be OK with this.
Rather shockingly, he says there has been no contact from Bolton since he came South. Marked contrast with Williams last season, who - iirc - said that Fulham were in touch after every game.
