Come on then, the usual stuff; who's going, how many will we take etc, etc.
It's planes, trains and automobiles for me and a mate (although not in that order): 07.36 from Oxford, arriving in Carlisle 12 noon Another mate driving down from Glasgow for the game, back with him for a night on the Glasgow tiles Flying back Sunday afternoon.

Committed to going to Bakewell for the weekend, otherwise I would have fancied this one, probably with a stop over.
Our northern exiles will be there, plus our "never miss a gamers", plus those who select their matches. I reckon 300-350 Yellows to watch a 2-1 win, Barnett to have a stormer and score both.

I'll be there with 2 others.
Driving up tomorrow, then coming back after the game.
I've not been to Carlisle before, so looking forward to it. (I've heard it's not far, so the journey should be easy enough)

Fair play to those that travel. Long way to go but should get a welcome 3 points

I'm making it my first game of the season. I hope it's a better result, and warmer than the last time I went there. 3-1 loss.

(I've heard it's not far, so the journey should be easy enough) Mention that they are a small town in Scotland, they really love that. Furthermore, it is a weird ground with the white elephant stand built under Knighton's ill-fated reign. Generally, decent bunch of fans from my experience of going to watch them when I was young and we were visiting family near Whitehaven. The other end of the family holiday was near Barrow so I watched them as well! Never did I believe I would watch Oxford in league game against them! :-(

We must be taking loads as all the hotels up there are fully booked - I was thinking about going and stopping over on the Saturday night but can't get in anywhere (ok there's 4 of us).

Considering they only just lost in a high scoring game with Burton, this won't be an easy game for us. Whilst I would love a repeat of the score line from the last time I saw us there (2-1, a stunner from Matty Elliot and the winner from Martin Aldridge), I think the scores will be the other way around. It's the start of school half-terms so I would think that will have an impact on the numbers we send (also why McVicar can't find anywhere to stay) - I'll go for 231.

Sad to see the pictures of Martin Aldridge. Young life cut tragically short, but twenty years later remembered on film.

I want to go but can't bare a coach trip done it before and it's dreadful if there is know one on there you know so you have know one to talk to. Mate was going to drive but we had one pull out on us so no go now. Our record there is poor but so was our record at Northampton but we won there Tuesday.

The 2 wins so far this week takes the pressure off somewhat. A draw would mean 7 points in 7 days which I'll be happy with. A win would be amazing!

KAMH predicting a yellows defeat (or very occasionally a bore draw when at home against someone truly terrible) is now a deep-rooted pre-match tradition. Frankly, it wouldn't feel like a proper matchday without it - don't ever change, man! Don't ever change.......

I assume he's being dragged as he wouldn't go willingly? If this is a kidnapping, shouldn't we tell someone?

I assume he's being dragged as he wouldn't go willingly? If this is a kidnapping, shouldn't we tell someone? Maybe it's a way of increasing attendances? Something for the Yellow Army to consider perhaps? After the Wycombe game being designated "Yellow Army Day" and events surrounding it perhaps we can designate the game against Carlisle or Hartlepool (where there's not likely to be a big turnout) as "Kidnap Day". If you can't bring someone along willingly then bring someone forcibly.

He'll love the chance to get above ground level for the day. Does he qualify as a concession?
