Haven't seen any football today but on the surface it appears to have been a good result for Arsenal and a poor one for Liverpool. Also a great result for Southampton considering everyone questioned how they would cope after all their departures.
Any thoughts without it getting silly?

It seems Arsenal are slowly getting to grips with the new players. Sanchez was an unused sub today. Liverpool need to gel and quickly. Letting in sloppy goals but I am still backing them for a top 4 finish. I would say Newcastle had a good result considering they came back from 2nil down and after last weeks 4nil defeat could of easily crumbled.

Probably best to wait until tomorrow as there are four more fixtures before dissecting what's gone on.

Just as an appendage to my last post, I thought we weren't talking about the PL and most definitely not mentioning Arsenal or Manchester United or have I got that wrong ?

Don't understand why Rodgers started Borini. Paid 25m for Lallana who is a far better player, or even Lambert would have been more effective against a big physical West Ham side.

Agree about Newcastle and it gives Pardew a stay of execution for a week or 2. Understood that there was a bug going round at Villa but wasn't sure if that accounted for the defeat, or whether Arsenal tore them apart? Liverpool should get better but still think they'll be in the mix for the top 4 if they can gel. Working tomorrow so just wanted to know whether I watch MOTD2 to catch up with these games or not bother!

You really are struggling with this section now no one bites There's nothing stopping talking about them to two teams, it's the not getting into slanging matches about them which has stopped. As for your previous post, since when has there ever been a problem starting posts on the pl before all games have been played been an issue. Clearly just wanted a discussion on what results meant for the teams playing today

Anyway if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I'll probably post later now the shackles appear to be off this section.

It really is easier to ignore some people rather than engage in petty debates. It is clear that 'some' are itching to take this forum backwards but I hope no one gives them the attention they so badly need.
My original post was simply asking for an overview of the games to help me decide if I've missed out on much, and how they fit in with the season to date. Fortunately all bar one have responded appropriately and long may this continue.

I'm not so sure Liverpool will finish in the top 4 this season.

5th or 6th for me. The lack of goals will hamper them massively.

Impressed with west ham again! They look a totally different side this season with pace and power all around the park
Bony's sending off was rediculous for Swansea - that second challenge was always going to be a booking.
Looking forward to today's games!

Great game, dodgy pen against MUFC but who cares, how many did they get back in the days of Ferg?

Your arrogance and knowledge of top flight football shows no bounds. ManUre are in dire trouble. King Louis at the helm, record amounts invested in the team and yet...

In total control until the ref decides he wants some attention and awards a pen which never was. He's then decided that the same player who fouled Rafael can then shove a player in the back before giving a pen.

See my reply above. Man Utd in total control until that very iffy call. Still reeling from that when they equalised. If Man Utd got that this place would be hopping mad.

If Man Utd got that this place would be hopping mad. sorry i must have been replying as you were commenting. Leicester are more of a counter attacking team. they are never going to have more then 50-60% possession against anyone. they were more in control of the game then leicester but they were never in total control of the game. When they took Di Maria off, they just didnt look like they were going to get the ball in the box let alone score
