He's back in Britain. To Liverpool for £16m.
I look forward to some more ridiculous news stories.

swapped one troublemaker for another but you rarely get someone that good for that price in recent times so a good signing if it goes through

Brilliant for the last 2 years I have heard nothing but how shit he is what a trouble maker he is and the fact that Liverpool would never ever drop that low, from my be-in-law. Come back from the pool today to see a text saying super mario will win us the league. Got to love these plastics

It is a great signing for £16million. I would say it is the signing of the window so far in as far as value for money goes. Long went for £12 million, Shaw for £30+, Chambers for £16million.
Balotelli will get Liverpool goals and I think Rogers is the best manager for him as his man management skils are second to none.
Odd how the 2 Man U fans can justify paying £50 million on a player their club don't need yet can be little a proven striker who is joining a club for over less than half of that money.

Even if the manager of Man Utd said they need that type of player? Guessing you know more though.
Will liverpool fans boo him like they did Evra? Both were victims of racist abuse whilst playing..

Of course I would know more, after all I am in the know aren't I. (still waiting for examples of that claim from you). I very much doubt they will boo him to be honest.

Why not? They did it to Evra...
Could be a good relationship between fans and players. You've got, why always me & always the victims.

for £16m i think its a bit of a bargain.
it all depends on if BR can keep him in shape. he did an alright job with Suarez.
I've no idea how he's done in Italy but ive seen a few fans not happy about him leaving. even if it goes horrible wrong, £16m for a PL players isnt to much of a waste

Man City bought him for £20m, and sold him for £19m, despite him being really quite effective (~30 goals in 80 - not brilliant, but not bad) Milan bought him for £19m, and appear to be selling him for £16m, despite him being outstanding for them (30 goals in 54) He's only 24.
He must be a right pain in the arse for his value to keep continually dropping like this!
Also, at that price, why didn't Arsenal sign him?

Shane Long £12 mill. Ballotelli £16 mill. Take your pick ? Long is a decent striker. Not sure he's £12m worth but he's definitely an £8-10m player. A better example of the point you're trying to make would be the price tag Liverpool have slapped on Borini - £14m.

Apparently they have nearly agreed a deal of cash plus giroud for cavani. Great deal for them and while maybe no better than ballotelli he's far less trouble. Arsenal don't really do that sort of character. People like Bentley have been shown the door for bein to big headed

Just needs a bit of help quitting smoking Wiltshere is a talent but he needs to now step up and show that talent. I don't get the big fuss about smoking. Ashley Cole has smoked for years but is one of the best left backs england have had for a good number of years.

This could go one of two ways, it could be waste of money or it could be signing of the season, as we full well know he is a Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde type of character and he has rap sheet longer than Paul Gascoigne's bar tab!
If he can keep his head down and stay out of trouble and Brendan Rodgers can keep Mr Hyde at bay, then he will be a success, but as previous manager's will testify, that is easier said than done. The only reason I can think why Wenger didn't put a bid in is that he's fairly confident of signing another top-class striker (maybe Cavani), and doesn't feel he can handle the baggage that comes with Balotelli.

A better example of the point you're trying to make would be the price tag Liverpool have slapped on Borini - £14m. No,that was the price tag that Sunderland were willing to pay,if Borini does go,then fair play on Liverpool for getting £14 mill for him. I read an article in the Sun yesterday comparing Balotelli to Cantona (behaviour wise) Cantona was a pariah in French football, his early career made Mario look a saint. His performances in the First Division were good enough to earn him his first full international cap when barely in his twenties. However, his disciplinary problems began in 1987 when he was fined for punching team mate Bruno Martini in the face.[9] The following year, Cantona was again in trouble because of a dangerous tackle on Nantes player Michel Der Zakarian, resulting in a three-month suspension,[9] this was later reduced to a two-month suspension as his club Auxerre threatened to make the player unavailable for selection in the national team. He was part of the French under-21 side that won the 1988 U21 European Championship, scoring a hat-trick in a quarter-final against the England under-21 side in the process,[10] and shortly after he transferred to Marseille for a French record fee (FF22m). Cantona had grown up as a Marseille fan. In January 1989 during a friendly game against Torpedo Moscow he kicked the ball at the crowd, then ripped off and threw away his shirt after being substituted. His club responded by banning him for a month. Just a few months earlier, he had been banned from international matches for one year after insulting the national coach Henri Michel on TV.[11] Having struggled to settle at Marseille, Cantona moved to Bordeaux on a six-month loan and then to Montpellier on a year-long loan. At Montpellier, he was involved in a fight with team-mate Jean-Claude Lemoult and threw his boots in Lemoult's face. The incident led to six players demanding that Cantona be sacked. In December 1991, during a match for Nîmes he threw the ball at the referee, having been angered by one of his decisions. He was summoned to a disciplinary hearing by the French Football Federation and was banned for one month. Cantona responded by walking up to each member of the hearing committee in turn and calling him an idiot. His ban was increased to two months, and Cantona subsequently announced his retirement from football on 16 December 1991. Balotelli was 20 when he signed for City,on mega bucks, away from home for the first time and with plenty of time on his hands. Put yourself in that situation,at that age, with that amount of money,i know what id have been, a nightmare. Football is an entertainment game,Balotelli is box office, which ever team you support,or even as a casual spectator, you want to watch exciting football, with that in mind Balotelli should be welcomed and Suarez sorely missed.
