I can see 8000 and 2500 from Portsmouth...think we will lose 2-1 with a goal from Junior Brown who will be man of the match. Will be another couple of games before we get our act together

I think we will deserve to win, but end up 1-1. Pompey will sell out their allocation (2,500?), we will have the 4,900 from Burton plus a few big game fans = 7,900 ish total gate.

Blimey JL you reckon there will be less than 4K home fans? Should have said 6,842. Our home support has slipped a lot, so it's disappointing we won't get an 8,000 crowd for this. Hopefully we can get fans to return, by following results with the more entertaining performances.

After a dull 0-0 last season 5995 turn up thinking it cannot be so poor again.Despite early pressure from Oxford it's Pompey who take the lead following hesitation in the home defence leaves Long hopelessly exposed..Pompey are controlling it and add another just before the break. The 2nd half and Pompey are seeing plenty of the ball, a rare oxford break leads to a corner and Mullins pulls 1 back from 18 yards..there follows 15 minutes of Oxford possession without creating anything of note and just as the 4th official shows 3 minutes added time Pompey seal it with a low drive into the far corner.
In the post match interview Oxford manager Appleton reveals he is hopeful of a new face in the building before the deadline.

7997 watching Oxford chalk up their first 3 points of the season. 3 nil, Rose, Hylton and Morris all from open play.

If so Portsmouth proving they are the team to beat and likely champions. My prediction is for Portsmouth Southend and Plymouth to go up....best we could possibly hope for is play offs....long hard season...maybe finishing seventh

We've got to get a point soon - maybe 1-1, with Paris Hilton scoring. 7656 crowd or even better (hopefully)
