If true I suspect Appleton has told Kitson he will play where he is required and train when he is told to rather than play where he wants to and train when he has nothing better to do. Wilder was so desperate to get him to the club he let him do what he wanted, good player, bad influence on the team. As for players learning from him, that will be why we got worse as the season progressed.......

A bit of a roller coaster going on in this thread. 'He's gone', 'he hasn't gone', 'he's staying', 'he's not staying'. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
There's little doubt Kitson is a really good player at this level. His vision, passing, hold up play, heading ability - streets ahead of anything we've had for ages.
That said, for me, he comes with some hefty downsides that shove him into the 'luxury' category. His 'I'll play where I want' attitude undermines the manager and the shape of the XI out there, his mouthing off to the ref is a major irritant and I was appalled by his lack of professionalism in that Boxing Day match against Plymouth. That was 90 minutes of him looking to get booked in order to have two matches off over the New Year. Doesn't sound like someone who still claims to 'love football' does it?
I hope the decision is made soon regardless and that MApp establishes a firm hand with him. He might be the best player we have, but that's not an excuse to act as selfishly as he has in the past.

Heard he had a nice time aboard during that Christmas/New years break, his plan worked perfect

How come we have so many people 'In The Know' yet hardly anyone ever gets anything right???
I'll wait to see what the club or player says first because everything else is mindless speculation.

Ask any of the players from last season, the coaches or the young lads like COD. They can't talk highly enough of him. It is getting really boring now with people just making wide off the mark statements to fit their arguments. Not a personal dig at you by the way barmy army

It's like being a plumber and knowing where the leaks are :-) You also get a hell of a lot of plumbers who claim they know where the leaks are when they don't actually have a clue.

Everyone has their own opinions on each player, personally glad to see him gone, was told by sheff u season tickets that he does what he wants when he wants. They wanted rid of him the season before he come here lazy fucker living in the past was the words they used, tend to agree.

Do we really need him?
Last season were he and Connelly the difference between promotion and not going up?

It's like being a plumber and knowing where the leaks are :-) Talking in riddles, that makes things more believable! People who claim to know so much go very quiet when they are found out. I'd much rather have a plumber that always finds the leaks rather than shouting about the one they find while all the other houses are flooded!!

Problem here is that too many posters let their imagination run riot and now they don't know how to back off.

Jesus the forum mafia are out . Think and say what you want I will see what happens So you won't say which player you were referring to. I'm afraid that if you pretend to be in the know when you blatantly aren't you can't expect anything else.

Ive heard a lot about what he does and doesnt do off the pitch which may or may not be true but when I combine it with what I see with my own eyes I tend to believe its true. Did anybody see Kitson over the new year when he was suspended?
