Swiss a number of sporting opportunities were identified and included in the proposal, including the Ice Hockey Rink and other olympic based training facilities. Great support from Oxford City Stars.

Just off the main sainsburys roundabout in kidlington, where the park and rude and old big red grain silo were That's even further from my house... A few pints in town, then 3 mins on the train to the stadium ... sweet!

Like Mooro I would also council caution on this proposal. Let's not forget that it was the refusal of SODC to grant planning permission on the Garsington Road stadium site that started the chain of events that led to Herd and Cox's ill thought our plans to develop Minchery Farm. Both developments were on the same road but SODC were able to block Garsington Road because it was inside their boundary and in the Green Belt. The same situation exists with Water Eaton and Cherwell District Council. I hope I am wrong but the nimbys have a lot of ammunition.

"that's further away from my house" - COME ON PEOPLE!
I am from North Oxford (but now live in Leeds so it's irrelevant) but the most important thing here is the ownership, not the location.
Also - I don't care how easy it is for some people to get to - The Kassam is one of the most soulless stadiums in the country. Water Eaton is in between Summertown and Kidlington - It would definitely feel a bit more 'Oxford'. The fact that the new Oxford Parkway station will be at Water Eaton also would be amazing for home/away fans alike.
