The best WC performance in living memory ?
This could and should be 8-0.
I should think one half of Manchester is bouncing off the ceilings in anticipation of what's coming after witnessing this.
Awesome.

Brilliant by the Dutch. Turned a slow Spain defence around and killed them with power and pace. Great to watch.
That Blind is a player...

Class but LVG will have a team of players next season who wont match what we have just seen, A brilliant display on how football should be played.

You wouldn't have posted that two hours ago. If I'd have given you nine names from that Dutch team you'd have said 'average'. If he can mastermind a team containing the likes of Ron Vlaar and De Jong to absolutely batter the world champions then he can transform pretty much any team. Oh and £200m will help him a bit too !

Makes the decision to choose Torres over Llorente even more strange. Spain just lost the plot tonight and the Dutch forwards clicked well unlike the Spanish central defence...

They should make it through the group stage, but maybe not the force of old any more? Back at the World Cup; assuming they both beat Aus, Spain will have to beat Chile. Jittery Don time, big time. Lovely.

If that second half volley from Robben had gone in, that might have been the greatest hatrick in football history. Course Casillas pulled off a great save, so Sir Geoff is safe for now.......
Extraordinary Dutch performance which has really sparked this World Cup. 8-0 is a bit harsh, but 8-2 would probably have been fair.
LVG appears to be doing a hell of a job with, on paper, an uneven side. RVP showed what a great player he really is. But on the Baldy debit side - I recall him saying during the whole Mesut Ozil transfer affair that Real Madrid never get rid of World Class players. Well anyone that just watched Arjen Robben strongly disagrees!

Perhaps now you lot understand why I moved to Holland?
Just joking. The Dutch press and the man on the street would have taken a draw and been happy. Nobody, not even baldy, could have written that script. I just hope taht they staay cool and don't get ideas above their station.

After the blatant bias and cheating Brazil and cr*p ref, Spain beating Brazil and kicking them out of the world cup would be a very interesting scenario for Sepp and his corrupt gang.
