Oh behave yourself. I'm talking about Tyrone starting instead of an experienced pro Kitson who is fit and on the bench. As you'd see from the sensible debate about it. The point being is this tie is crucial and we need the money which comes with progressing in it and our best chance is to play our best side. Or the manager has more faith in our Youth than you do? I think it's perfectly acceptable to keep Kitson on the bench & not risk him on a pitch that is agricultural to say the least. This game is not "crucial". Nowhere near as "crucial" as any of the remaining league games and I'd rather Kitson was fit for them. You didn't "debate" the team selection, you branded it laughable. It seems to be doing all right at the moment, so perhaps it's not such a laughable team selection on a number of fronts. No I was debating the merits of starting Tyrone instead of Dave Kitson, a player who is more suited to the direct ball and offers an aerial threat than Marsh. I didn't describe the "team" selection as you imply as laughable. I made reference to one player and one player only. I have tons of faith in the youth, of which when forced to play, they have done exceptionally well, notably Ruffels and Williams. I also stand by my 'crucial' comment in the context of the £70k it will bring if we progress. I'd take that and a defeat in the league from purely a financial perspective when a football club is trying to drive down £6m+ worth of debt.

Huddersfield and £67k. Then we can dream about R5 and a £1m in gate receipts by getting a top side away.

BBC reckons 17,000 there tonight - hopefully a couple of quid from the gate receipts, even if it is only £10 a go.... The rules: (b) Net gate receipts shall be divided as follows: (i) In matches prior to the Third Round of the Competition Proper (other than replayed matches in the Competition Proper), the net gate receipts of each match shall be divided equally between the competing Clubs. (ii) In replayed matches in the Competition Proper prior to the Third Round, 5% of the net gate receipts shall be remitted to The Association and the balance shall be divided equally between the competing Clubs. (iii) In matches played in the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Rounds of the Competition Proper, the net gate receipts of each match shall be divided as follows: 45% to each Club competing in the match. 10% to the Pool. (iv) In replayed matches in the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Rounds of the Competition Proper the net gate receipts of each match shall be divided as follows: 5% to The Association. 42.5% to each Club. 10% to the Pool. So 17,000 tickets at 10 pound a pop = £170,000. 45% of which is £76,500. Bosh!

Talksport radio reckons it is tipping it down at Fulham, so that is a worry regarding an abandonement at the Valley....

I think most others would prioritise the league over the cup even with the £70k prospect too. I guess that's where we fundamentally disagree I guess. Still, let's hope we can both get what we want

EG Pompey and countless other matches at home with his negativity. Doesn't mean he can't have credit for this performance. The same way this performance doesn't change the result or performance on Saturday.

Happy for Wilder to leave Marsh on, protecting Kitson AS LONG as we get £67k prize money, some wedge from Huddersfield away before OUFC strike it rich in R5 by getting a top top Premiership side. I am happy to take that all day long. Come on you yellows.
