Well done Oxford - sounded like we were letting them back in - good stuff for killing them off in the end.

Glad the ref remembered late on that the opposition should in fact only have ten men by the end. It's the law this season.

2-0 defeat and out of the play offs. Well done ST. great prediction!! My optimistic 3-1 prediction to us proved spot on ... Got the feeling Rigg may play a more central role in attack to feed off Smalley, not so pessimistic as some because although there's half a dozen players out- there's still options open to CW and the opposition are no great shakes. I back us to continue our impressive away record. H'pool 1 U's 3.

Injuries, suspensions and a last weeks result considered - that is a huge result for us Totally agree. Given all those factors I have to admit I wasn't expected a positive result today but what a win that is!! Great stuff, come on Oxford!!

If that's the BBC figure, Hartlepool can't have touched the ball at all in the last 15 minutes.

Round pegs, round holes (Alfie excepted due to the injury woes)! A sign of things to come? I think Alfie can play behind Smalley, they've played well together before. I don't know if its Smalley or having two wingers aswell that makes the difference?

Just got back. My first game of the season. Great performance Hartlepool did have lots of the ball but didn't create much. Thought Raines and Mullins were awesome and anybody there will tell you the trip was worth it too see Clarkes save at 2-1. Well done lads great stubborn performance and the togetherness was good too see . Down to oxford for cobblers game can't wait now

An absolutely meaningless stat It was an absolutely useless stat but would love to know where they got that info from I would think because we had poor ball retention up the pitch, gave them the midfield most of the time, and as people have said Raynes and Mullins needed to have good games to keep them at bay, a dogged display where we took our chances.

Very nice play from Rigg in the run up to the second goal and Potter and Smalley seem to have a good understanding.
Looks to me like they probably should have had a penalty in injury time although the picture quality isn't great so perhaps it was more of a blatant dive than it first appears.
Didn't like seeing Clarke trying to take the ball around their striker after a pass-back by the way. Less of that please! His save with his legs when it was 1-2 was very important though.

11 away wins in last 16 league games compared to 4 wins in 16 home league games sort the home form out and we would be flying
