Best possible start to this season for us imo- away to the big fish in the bottom tier of English Football.
And, I really fancy our chances, the pressure is going to weigh them down with the expectations of a capacity home crowd, and I think we're playing them at the best time- they will not know what to expect. And, our players are fit and raring to go.
I'm going for Pompey 1 Oxford Utd 3. UTM!!

I think you're right, they have no idea what to expect. Our new found fitness will overtake them in the last 30 minutes. 0-2 for the mighty Yellows.
My what was that a long break but from now on normal service has been resumed. COYY

Really excited for this, thank god football's back! I predict 2-0 to us, Smalley & Mullins, with Jake Wright to be M.o.M! How good would that be.
I would go as far as saying, this is the stand out fixture in League 2 this weekend.

I would be quite happy with a draw. You have to remember that no matter what side Wilder puts out it will not have played together before.
Mind you a win would be quite nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coming from the south I've had to endure the "southern" media "bigging" up Pompey all week against the cannon fodder that they think is Oxford United. How good would it be to beat such a "big club".
To make matters worse some Pompey fans were interviewed about being in Div 2 and bemoaning the fact they they had to go to places like Rochdale, Morecambe and OXFORD! How very dare they be so impertinent!
Stuff 'em please, boys.

I think he's trying to be amusing but fails miserably. Either that or he has an extremeley small cock and is trying to compensate.

What kind of reception will Craddock receive? Will he start?

Well I'm always the pessimist.
0-0
Early season jitters getting the best of both teams.
Would still be a decent result.

I fancy us to win today. I think Portsmouth will start well with a vocal home support but we will come more and more into it and nick a 1-0 win. (Kitson against his former club to be the goalscorer)

Personally thing we'll win 3-0, I can really see that result with the Yellow Army behind the boys. To score; Wright, Smalley and Potter. Will see most of you in Portsmouth, COYY!

Like the optimism here, but I'd be pleased with an away point. Their club and supporters are on a high after the takeover with a sell out crowd.
I'll love it if we manage a Burton away style 'we f*cked your party up'

I'll take a point but secretly hope for three! Good luck all. This. Really difficult to predict these sort of matches! I still get bewildered why people still put down Wright as one of their predicted goalscorers.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS! I fancy a hatchet job by OUFC today. 1-0 Oxford should do it.
I'm sure the legions of yellow army fans will be singing their hearts out for the lads later on today. It'll be a big help.
YELLOW ARMY! YELLOW ARMY! YELLOW ARMY!

Pompey will assume they simply have to turn up today.
With a fit squad, and 2500 fans behind them, I am positive that the lads will do us proud.
Feeling confident that we can duplicate the performance and result fom BR away last season.
1-3 to us.
Come on the Manor!!!
