Lets hope for the following scenario - Press Conferance tomorrow with Mr Lenagan, explaining why he's had to dismiss/Relieve Mr Wilder from his duties.

That is a dire result however you dress it up. What the hell do we actually do in training. Certainly not defensive drills or shooting practice, that's for sure.

I'm looking forward to the summer now. Should be a lot of news with new signings and changes in the staff and maybe management.

I'm looking forward to the summer now. Should be a lot of news with new signings and changes in the staff and maybe management. Only maybe ? I there really any chance that CW will be starting next season with us ? It must be obvious to anyone that he's taken the club as far as he can and that it's time for a change. He's obviously done a huge amount for the club, and I hope he gets a decent send off on his last match. It's much better to go and have the fans say "he should stayed longer" instead of "he should have gone sooner", but I'm afraid the majority, myself included, will be in the latter camp.

some of our fans today went a bit far with the chanting for wilder, can understand theres sections that want him out etc etc, but chanting "wilder ur a cynt" is too much for the whole team from wilder to the medic.
its a tough time for us at the momment and todays performance was shocking but until he walks/gets sacked personally ill be supporting the team which includes wilder.

Agreed. I don't have a problem with Wilder out chants when we're losing to bottom of the league and playing horrifically... But abusing the man is just too far. I'll never hate him, he got us out of 'that' league and provided us with that amazing Wembley day. Chances are we'd be really struggling financially if we didn't get promoted. Didn't Jim Smith say there was a possibility of us going bust if we stayed in the conference 2/3 years longer?? So we owe him respect, even if it's time he moved on. However, in general I thought our fans were very good today. Very loud start to finish, even when 2-0 down. Didn't let the poor performance ruin the day and just had a laugh (with a few angry chants in between!).

Chris Wilder is an Oxford United legend, I have no doubts about that. He took us out of the Conference, where had we stayed much longer we could have been in a Darlo position. He then took us to a respectable 12th placed finish in our first season back in the League, and the season afterwards we were just short of the playoffs. We will probably end this season 12th, and at the Crown Ground on 27th April, Chris Wilder will probably depart knowing he has managed his last Oxford United game.
Don't call for Wilder's head. It's pointless in April and it's pointless when you're stable. See this season out and build for 2013/14. The teams coming down from League 1 look shite and there isn't a moneybags coming up from the Conference. On April 28th, our season 2013/14 starts

Agree he is a legend but the club has to move on as the club is failing. Didn't like the abuse today although there was a lot if banter between the fans Two up and you fcd it up was good until thy scored a few moments after. Thank you Chris, but time to go

He's not a legend. End of. A manager that got got us back in the football league, when we were near the bottom of the conference, is a legend. What is happening now doesn't change that.

After the game yesterday, I was so annoyed at the excuse of a performance that was served up that I and two friends walked around to the team bus and waited for the players to come out and get on the bus (I would never dream of doing this normally but had time to kill before my train).
Adrian Lenegan rolled past in his range and so we stopped him to have a chat about the teams 'performance' he acknowledged that we haven't been good enough all year and yesterday was 'frankly dreadful'. He went on to explain that the board of directors are 'more committed than ever' to solve the 'complexed issues at the club' and are 'striving for excellence' he also encouraged any supporters to get in touch with him and discuss their concerns with him. Perhaps it was all spin but he gave me a business card and told me to give him a call - he was extremely professional, humble and he did seem to give a toss.
A couple of minutes later, heslop came out and I asked whether or not his performance was good enough and he acknowledged that it wasn't and actually apologised! Mickey Lewis then followed and was effing and blinding, he got right in our faces was blaming everybody but himself and the management for the seasons debacle. What struck me was the contrast between Adrian Lenegan and mickey Lewis, the lack of professionalism from Lewis was astounding! Furthermore, his appearance, his track suit top looked like it hasn't been washed for weeks, his dinner and tea stains were all down the front, he needed a bloody good shave and he is three stone overweight...what players in there right mind are going to want to listen and learn from that kind of slob? It beggars belief!

Good to hear about Adrian Lenagan, we could do with another people's person at the club. Shame about Mickey Lewis but it's another sign that things have become stale here and a change is needed asap!

Precisely- a poor end to an oufc career doesn't unmake someone's 'legend' status. if it did, Jim Smith would have to have that label taken away for his p*ss-poor second run in charge, which is obviously ludicrous.

Anyone managed to get the Aldershot "highlights" on Yellow Player? Just getting a blank screen on mine (have tried Chrome AND Internet Explorer)...
[Edit: watched it on "Shots Player". Not sure why I bothered.]
[Further edit: In case anyone else (like me) has never noticed, there's a "high-res" option on video clips in Yellow Player. Click "HIGH" rather than "LOW" or "MED" towards the right at the bottom of the clip. It makes quite a difference. Still can't view the Aldershot clip, but the others are working OK.]
