Great result for the team. I had a strong feeling we would win this one. Glad I was right. I'm really happy for Beano, Batt and Heslop for their goals this afternoon. I'm looking forward to the league show again this Saturday.

Great result to put the club back on track and make the fans a little happier than we were on Tuesday. Glad to see Heslop score and us score a penalty. I'm sure someone will find something to complain about, but 10th place is better than being in Torquay's position. Bring on the Bees!

Certainly can't complain about 9/12 points, but somehow Tuesday's debacle still leaves a bad taste. Maybe I'll have to give up home matches and go to the away matches instead !

Was a great result. Didn't miss Chapman. Interesting that the bottom seven clubs apart from Plymouth have recent Conference history

27 points yet to play for still
last play-off place (7th) points last few seasons: 11-12 72 10-11 68 09-10 72 08-09 69 07-08 78 06-07 71 05-06 66 04-05 72
16 points could just do it..but probably not imo ...but 20 surely would!
Just makes you rue the daft games earlier this season (every season!?)..the ones against teams esp. at home that we should dominate & that we really could have got more from e.g. at home Torquay, Aldershot and York draws & the D&R and Bristol loss

So even 72pts might be too low this season?

I am very pleased I started a winning thread. Really pleased they won however, I just could not muster the enthusiasm to listen to the whole match; Sainsburys was more of a draw. Did hear the goals going in but even then I just felt nothing, no enthusiasm, elation or joy nothing positive at all. I will be there Tuesday, I will try desperately to encourage them to success I only hope they put in a shift. The last post I made was about the whole experience and I am afraid nothing has changed. Seasons of dire football has now taken a rather unfortunate effect on my overall desire to spend my time as a supporter of Oxford Utd. I am not going to knock Wilder, I don't care if he stays or goes, the whole thing is just pants with us the supporters as the victims.
Oh...................Come on Oxford.

probably right bigfella about the 68...maybe even with the 72. Exeter, who I should have thought would be the team most likely to lose their grip on a play-off place, have a fairly tough run-in (on paper!)and are 17th in the League on home form. They have Gills and Bradford at home in the coming week..& clearly those results will be crucial. They also have to play Rotherham, Cheltenham and Chesterfield plus a local derby away at Plymouth who will be scrapping for their lives. You never know?..13 points needed from 27 against that lot?
all wishful thinking of course!

I am very pleased I started a winning thread. Perhaps you ought to start all the match threads for the rest of the season. My mate reckons he has a lucky program seller, but she seems to have let him down pretty badly these last few games so now the responsibility is yours !
