Gash. I was hoping for a better scoreline than last year's battering.

At least we have stood up against them and given a better performance than we did last season

Rotherham have had 2 sent off, so they may miss the game against us in couple of weeks. Bradford have lost again at Barnet.
A few results gone our way

Very disappointing. Other clubs are able to use home advantage to beat teams in a higher league but we never seem to push these teams. We had a great opportunity to progress in the cup this year and hopefully put some much needed dosh on the coffers, but no, another roll over and die performance by sounds of things.

I personally think 3-0 flatters them, well thats how it came across. We seem to let ourselves down on set pieces, surely we should be working on them in training.

A good effort from the lads, money in the bank, but now we have some work to do.

If you weren't there today, we could easily have won that and the 3-0 seriously flatters them!

I'd call a "great opportunity to progress" if we had been drawn against a side at our level or lower, and by all accounts it was anything but a "roll over and die" performance.

people saying money in the bank, we lost so we didnt bank any money today, i think losing cox and beano prob reduced some chances and richards missed a sitter, end of the day theyre a better team and took their chances

Hate to do a baldy, especially as I wasn't at the game, but I did say it was a poor draw. We were always unlikely to win it (not withstanding the 'might have beens' of what was seemingly a decent performance from the lads,) and with a disappointing 7000-odd gate the financials didn't compensate for it.

We will go up if we play like that Ha Ha - go to go now due back on the planet earth Not being funny here, but you come across like James.b, very negative during match threads. I also think you come across as a bit of a tit. We have been on a great run of form of late, im not a wilder fan by any means. It is strange why Rigg never started, but maybe there is a reasonable excuse. I also don't understand your statement, we are off the pace! We are not far behind teams in the playoffs, and have a chance to extend our league form at Valley Parade next saturday. The next job is to get past Southend in the JPT on tuesday.

I mean that the result was a poor one which is fairly obvious isn't it.
I mean that the run that we have had has taken us to mid table in the league which is as good as we are - not a top three team that has been unlucky
I mean that we continue to underperform.
What do you want a novel ?

What do you want a novel ? If you're responding to me - do please learn to use the quote function - the result was 0-3 against a team one and a half leagues above us. Expected rather than poor, so your comment wasn't at all obvious, and means we didn't under-perform today at all. Your second paragraph doesn't make sense. We're 13th, not 3rd, so losing to Sheff Utd is no disgrace. I don't want a novel, just intelligent comment. Please do come back when you have some.

After today's league matches we are still only 5 points off the play-offs but we now have a game in hand!
The bbc site pretty much backs up most of our opinions, two very equal sides today with the differance bring the finishing of a top league 1 team!

Perhaps roll over and die does not reflect this particular performance, but we certainly haven't done ourselves justice yet again against a higher ranked side.

Excellent performance. Justin Richards played very well but still suffers from the poor finishing that was evident in his last spell. Rigg good when he came on. Still not convinced we have enough goals in us.
Dave Kitson- what a tosspot. Always has been.
Final note- their set pieces were astoundingly good- we need to take note.
Not too downhearted tonight.

Sure, great for Macc and Loo, but how many times would you expect them to win? And we've certainly done justice several times in the last couple of years against upper-ranked sides....the Scum and Yeovil, for example. Are we really expected to win each and every game against higher-league teams? We actually played surprisingly well given that we had a bit of a makeshift team.
