We deserve a bit of luck after Mullins's header hitting both posts and not going in. Raynes' header?

Batt gave the free kick away that lead to the goal.. Poor from him. But it was Marsh who was criticized for not holding the ball up, leading to Batt fouling.

10 yards in from the touch line, does he need to be fouling his man?
It's not the first time Batt has done that.
His defence work leaves a lot to be desired.

Have you not been reading your "who we're allowed to blame for goals" guidebook. Raynes & Batt in the back four, Leven or JFC in the midfield, TC upfront. The others shall not be criticised, especially not the keeper who's not conceded 2 direct fk's in 2 games.

Why can't we defend free kicks? What do they do all day in training with their defensive coaches?

But trumping all of the above....it was obviously Wilder's fault for not holding up the ball, the free kick, and the goal.

Batt dives in too much, always has, always will. If he's in good form he tends to be less liable to do it but like John Ashton always had his one mistake, Batt will give a couple of silly free kicks away. You can forgive it when he is attacking well.

Despite reading the many warnings on here earlier, I still managed to only remember to start listening at quarter to. So apart from losing, how does it sound like we've been playing?

4-3-3 stinks the way we play it - ends up with an isolated striker.
It doesn't work with Beano, Craddock or now Marsh. You'd think we'd have bloody learned, but apparently not.

Marsh is a poacher, not a bloody CF. Give him a big bloke like Constable to feed off and he'll score.
