I can't see how this season is going to get any better now. :-( Get rid of Wilder and bring in someone who can implement a few new ideas? We're a stale side which concedes goals. CW sides are normally based on a solid defensive foundation and, once his once best feature starts to crumble, serious questions have be asked. A new manager would have to come in and pick up the pieces of a side decimated by injuries to the good players (I can't for a second think that Heslop would be playing if we had JFC, Leven and Chapman all fit), but it's now more about ideas. CW doesn't seen to have any, a new manager just might.

Rotherham just had a man sent off. That means they will have one less to choose from next week.

I never thought id have to say WILDER OUT! but now the time has come. The question is who would want us? There's no doubt about it, with a fully fit squad we on paper are seriously strong. Im just not prepared to give CW the time for these players to get back fit. It needs to be addressed ASAP, so MR Lenegan give him his P45. he's out of his depth like Terry Brown was at AFC Wimbledon!

Very sad ---I just don't get what's happened--but please put some dosh in to buy some quality players and push on the squad--we almost always get people's left overs --with a few exceptions--and will Beano ever score again??

He has got to go now. We need to get this season going and although we have been hit with injuries Wilder cannot motivate the fringe players enough.

It could be that we are too far adrift before the injured players return and even the unthinkable might happen

I hear booing! I'm usually critical of booing but today I think its maginally better than apathy.

I think if i was IL, id be dismissing CW tonight and giving Steve Coppell a ring. You have to ask questions about what Melville and Lewis bring too, so let the new man bring his own staff in.

It's not just about motivation (although I think that there's an element of that in it), but it's tactics too. The reluctance to change from 4-3-3 is proving problematic. And then when we go behind, we go 4-2-4 - a formation not used since the '50s as it's so fundamentally flawed! New ideas and a new manager are needed.

We would do the same to them if the positions were reversed.
Some of our fans think it is enough to keep beating Swindon no matter how badly we are otherwise doing compared to them.
There is venom for Di Canio on here and he may not be the nicest of people, but he can sure fire up his players as against Wilder who can only get his players fired up for games against Swindon big deal.

What formation were Oxford playing in the 1990's with Beauchamp on the right and Allen on the left?

Oh those were the days.
Remember going to somewhere like Bradford with bad flu and having to sit down on the terrace most of the time but luckily standing up at the point Beauchamp scored with a shot from the left wing.
What a class act he was and loyal beyond belief.
A real legend.
