If you listened to the game tonight mr b, the noise you heard was "supporters". These are people who support the team they support - as opposed to those who seem to delight in defeat. I don't understand why you bother

Laughable trotting out of a phrase you have picked up because you have no intelligence.
I would actually prefer to be a troll than somone like you who has no brain at all so uses abuse when you have no argument.

I don't delight in defeat, but I do think a pragmatic approach should be taken towards a gvame we expect to lose by not involving any of our key players to rest them and keep them injury free and keep their confidence up to maximise our chances of winning our league games which is all important.

Yes, we should have given the youngsters a run out from the start. There can be nothing positive to come out of being well beaten 3-0, What was already going to be a difficult trip to York has just been made harder with all the confidence previously gained now badly dented. Our players and coaches will have a stronger mind than you. They will realise that we were playing a team who ply their trade at a much higher level than our regular competitors so, like all winners, will put this behind them and get on with the priority task. Some of our players (eg Chapman, Potter, Beano) will have gained a little experience by pitting their witts against significantly higher opposition and that must be positive despite the result. Night Night x

Yes, Scoob, as happened after the Sheffield United result last season !!!!!
Your argument may be flawed, but at least you have a go at an argument and are polite, unlike some members on here who resort to abuse when they have none.

We lost against a decent Crawley and Cheltenham after Sheffield followed by 7 points of a possible 9. Prior to that bar a decent win against Plymouth we hadn't strung 3 wins in a row.
We have better players than last season who are available for the games coming up not to mention the team we played today are far superior to Sheffield back in November.
A result against York and I won't even remember this match.

Were we well beaten? The score was 3 nil to a decent team in a much higher division. If anything this will have given the team an incentive to play even better so that in due course they might play at Leed's level. I was listening to the match but getting regular texts from someone able to attend, he was saying we were playing really well for long periods, never gave up and he felt proud of our team. We took the game to them, never rolled over and were unlucky not to get at least one goal. The team can be proud of themselves tonight. They will be even more fired up for York on Saturday now. Tonight is what is called a learning curve !! Brownose you are, as normal, talking complete b*ll*cks !!!

So the two defeats in a row to Southend immeditely before the Sheffiled Utd game plus three defeats out of five leading up to that game had nothing to do with the dip in form then? Who has the flawed argument?

Okay, if we win with a confident performance against York, I will leave this forum.
If we lose or draw with a performance lacking in confidence, all those who have opposed my view will ealve the forum.
Agreed?

Confirmed what we already knew tonight.
Constable and Heslop are not good enough.
And tonight will dent the confidence somewhat. Not so confident about the York game after that performance.

Is salaghaf an intelligent poster who shares my view about confidence having now been dented or must he be a multi of mine? Don't disrupt their nice cosy little "Beano loving" club too much. You might get banned......... Agreed. Tonight's game was a total waste of time, with only one likely outcome: A loss with dented confidence. Hope I am proven wrong though Saturday........

You seem to be accusing anyone who isn't looking for a vein to slash as part of some Constable love in. Personally I wasn't too fussed if he had gone to the scum last season for money well over the odds of what he is worth. We lost 3-0 against a team likely to be in the premiership next season which had some pretty decent players up against some who have been playing in the conference only a couple of years ago. I don't wish to draw too many minds back to May but we lost our last game of the season 3-0 to Vale in a far more important match. Little bit of perspective is all it needs. This won't dent any confidence and certainly less than that last match. Hopefully the players have got a bit more metal about them than you give them credit or seem to show yourselves.

Correct me if I am wrong but how can you suddenly lose confidence when you are beaten by a team who are supposed to be that much better than you are. If we lose to a conference side in the FA cup than I would succumb to your argument such as it is. The club viewed this as a test and would provide a target that they should strive for in future performances. that is what cups are about.

I dont think tonights result will dent confidence too much. League form is always the priority over cup games, specially against sides from a higher division.
No point going all out to beat a side like Leeds, then risk getting injuries to key players.
The Beano sitution worries me though. If what I'm hearing from my club sauce is to be believed, Wilder and Co want him gone before Friday - but he's stubbonly unwilling to uproot his family.

Hello, Leeds fan here.
Definitely don't think you have anything to be annoyed at tonight. You brought the game to us a lot of the time. Passed around nicely. It was just the final third where you seemed to run out of ideas. But you gave us a couple of scares. Unlucky not to get a goal at least.
Good performance I would say.
Thanks to everyone who showed up. Good atmosphere!

Just got back god those coaches are slowwww !! First off what a show from the oxford fans. Brillant !!! I dont want to point fingers but the one player who i would blame for two goals and a lot of there chances tonight was mcginty. No way good enough tonight. All in all not the best score line and result but we keep going and make sure we keep the league form going.

We went there and tried to play, but in the end were beaten by a better (and can I say high-end) championship team, which is nothing to worry about. Every player gave it there all. Onwards and upwards, bring on York.

I thought it was a excellent performance from us fans that went, and we got behind the lads for 90 mins. I thought we started really well for the first 20mins, the first goal scored by Rodolph Austin was against the run of play. There second goal was very good indeed, El Hadj Diouf's cross was met by Byram i believe, and then Tom Lees finished us off. I really enjoyed my day saw some mates at Sheffield, and then the match itself. We dont need to be worried going into Saturday, and there is certainly no disgrace losing to a good Leeds Utd team.
Tom Craddock,JFC and Smalley will be more than likely in the squad for the York match, i wont be going to that one, as i went to Leeds yesterday. I really cant see confidence being damaged, im sure CW was in the dressing room saying to the boys treat it like a friendly, and enjoy the moment.
It will be a different mindset going to York on saturday for the lads, and im sure we can come away with atleast a point.
We are all intitled to our opinions, and i dont think it's fair to say a certain poster should be banned, just because you dont agree with him/her.
Dont get me started on JC but the lad isn't good enough anymore, it's time to sell and move on for the good of the club, otherwise your find there will be unrest, and bad dressing room harmony. That could be a problem for our season! We may of missed our last oppertunity to get 200k and i think that a very generous offer tbh. Im sure im going to get shot down by all them posters who love him, and he loves the club, well im sorry i dont join you in that one. I think he's woeful, you can make all the excuses you want and i wont buy it. Lets sell quickly CW, ring Mark McGee and say you can have him.
