I don't like Murray and get quite a bit of stick from people for it but I don't care. Some of my friends are so up his arseI'm surprised they can't see daylight from the amount of arse licking they do on Twitter. But the point being made is if you didn't like Constable or Batt, would you still support them in the pursuit of Oxford winning? If they were so far up his arse wouldn't they be able to see the daylight from his mouth or nose? (not saying they're big just having a little joke, I wholly support Team GB)

Eric, do you dislike Murray and don't care if we wins or loses? Or do you dislike him and hope he loses?
Congrats to Murray in the mens final by the way!

Interesting to see Murray singing along with the national anthem. Not compulsory. Anti-English?

Jesus christ
We all have people who we dislike, but I think you've got to have a look at yourself if you have so much hatred for someone you've presumably never met for no real reason!

So, I gather he won then.
Didn't watch it, as I previously said, I'm indifferent to the Team GB thing. It wouldn't be the highlight of my month if he'd lost, and it won't ruin it now that he's won, but given a choice, I'd rather he had lost. Does that mean I need psychiatric analysis? I don't think so?
That was my opinion and still is. Get over it.

Eric, you're telling people to get over your opinion, but whenever anyone makes a thread about an opinion you disagree with you don't get over it....
Double standards?

Great performance by Murray to finally put that ghost of losing to Federer to bed. And I especially liked his attitude towards the mixed doubles, even though we did lose. He wanted to win that just as much as he wanted to beat Federer earlier on.
Robson and Murray put a great effort against Belarus. To be fair they were up against the World number 1's whereas Murray and Robson were a 'last-minute-cobbled-together' pair, so they really punched above their weight by getting silver.
Superb stuff.

To be fair - in the mixed doubles, everybody is a 'last-minute-cobbled-together' pair! It's not like they ever play it outside of Grand Slam events and the Hopman Cup. Azarenka & Mirnyi had played together before, but Murray and Robson have too, in the Hopman Cup.

Perhaps he thought that you were lonely Eric. Why would he be when he's got you? Going to answer the man's question Eric or just dodge like usual? What f*cking planet are you on Billy? I've explained my feelings about Murray countless times on here, dodged nothing. I'm not going to repeat it every time, just for your benefit, so you can spend another week masturbating over the argument. Cue, "so Eric doesn't have an argument and resorts to abuse" from Gunman. I don't like him, it's f*cking boring going over it ad infinitum, especially when it then turns into a ten pager. You might have no life outside of this forum, but I don't spend half my life on here and am not prepared to waste a Sunday evening entertaining you. Why don't you find something else to do? Isn't your hero playing tennis for Team GB this evening? Or haven't you got a television in your house/bedroom/ward/padded cell?

Don't worry Eric, I don't expect you to justify your irrational hatred, I mean, it wouldn't be irrational otherwise. Nor would you have to try and counter with the personal insults. Small man syndrome methinks...

Least satisfying medal of the Olympics for me. Tennis just shouldn't be there, so I took no pleasure from either the gold or the silver. And same with the Men's football team, I honestly didn't care one way or the other if they won/drew/lost, they shouldn't be there either. Nothing against Murray or Robson though, I expect they will both take positives from the experience.

Agree it shouldn't really be there, but fantastic for Murray to beat the top 2. That should really push him on towards a grand slam now. And winning in tennis was quite satisfying because it further increases the diversity of events we've done well in. No-one can say we only win in sports where you sit down now!

The Olympics is the 5th or 6th most important tennis tournament this year (depending who you ask.....it's about on a par with the Tour finals). And probably somewhere between 10th and 12th in terms of difficulty - the highest profile Masters series tournaments will all have bigger and stronger fields. Still a big achievement for Murray, and hopefully one which will give him bags of confidence going into the US Open. But any sport in which the Olympics is not the most prestigious event (nevermind not the most prestigious event at the same venue in the same month) should really not have a place in the Games.

murray was aggressive and federer couldnt dictate the points. Murray made federer run around instead of the other way round.
Also i thought robson looked very good and will be a top 20 player atleast in a few years time.
