A lot of people simply do not want to go along to watch the depressing crap on offer now. For the first time in some years I actually have no inspiration to go to games. I will be there on Saturday but I am having to force myself now rather than eagerly looking forward to the game. Given the costs involved as well many will be thinking of other things to do instead. The feel good factor is not there anymore and having to hear wilder and his ever more desperate drivel is not going to help. If Mr Leneghan means what he says there is only one thing to do .... now !!!

Top of the league or bottom I support my team. However I refuse to pay 22quid, simple as that. Whys it always Oxford who get ripped off? Can we charge Cheltenham the same on NYD?

Same as Junior. I was never going to give Cheltenham £22.
I'll give it to the OxVox walk.

'if you're a fan' hartlyhare you would be more worried about the performances of the team than how many have travelled to an away game. Additionally it's mid-week, fans do have jobs and families and for some the £22 has to be used elsewhere so criticism there is misplaced.

I thought the support tonight was great - all things considered....... I think you are talking crap. 3 straight loses, 22 pounds, mid week, champions league on tv........ 700 sounds bloody great to me. Lack of atmosphere though - and that WAS down to the team's recent performances.

It sounds like the home crowd included a few yellows. I was in there with my gf too. I thought our crowd looked less than 700.
First time ever that I have not been in with our fans and it was not a good experience.

We should rip them off. My understanding of the rules are that you have to charge similar costs for equivalent accommodation We paid £22, but its only £21 to sit in the Main Stand. They also Premium priced our game by adding £2 to normal admission prices, something that when they come here we should do as well. When was the last time it cost more to sit behind the goal than in the Main Stand Rip off

Now that we are back as an average non-inspirational, mid-table team with little or no hope of promotion, it will be intresting to see what the 'core' support actually is. I would guess about 4,500. Accrington in October will be a good test.

This was one of the away matches I would have gone to - on a Saturday - but I finish work at 5.15pm in Bullingdon, I then have to get home and change (can't really go in uniform) then fight my way along the A40. I would have struggled to get there and thats before parking somewhere.
I did go with the kids a few years ago but we left at 4pm. I also remember how tightly packed we were in the seated area, there is absolutely no room between seats unlike at the Kassam.
It would also have cost me £66.00 for the 3 of us, the children now being adults but expecting their dad to pay.

Cheltenham away on a Tuesday...meh Cheltenham away on a Saturday...lets 'ave it!
Given the p*ss poor turn out by the home fans, and given our form, I don't think just shy of 800 is all that bad for a Tuesday night.

It was nothing to do with Wilder the poor attendance last night more like the RIP OFF £22 that Cheltenham were charging! Who on earth do they think they are?!! £22 to sit in a awful stand with very limited view of the pitch. Why does it always have to be OUFC that get ripped off at dumps like that!
Think I read somewhere that Cheltenham claimed it was to cover policing costs which is a joke considering there most expensive ticket in the home sections was about 4quid cheaper apparently! Tin pot club with an awful non league stadium and crap fans that are silent all game until they score.
Massively regretting going last night especially after going to burton too mainly due to the negativity of some of our support abusing wilder and certain players for most of the game.. Pathetic.

I was amazed so many bothered. I live about 10 miles away and had got tickets in advance but I still nearly didn't go. The fact is that the off-putting factors mentioned above (night game, £22 etc) all go out the window if the club is doing its bit. It isn't.
Saturday is going to be a very bad experience if a win isn't secured. Even then I suspect we're only delaying the inevitable conclusion.
